The "Herb of Courage" for Cucumber-Flavored Blooms and Soothing Medicinal Power

Shop the highest quality Borage seeds and bring the legendary "Starflower" into your healing garden. When it comes to herbs that lift the spirit, Borage is the "Cheerful Conqueror." This heirloom is famous for its brilliant blue, star-shaped flowers and its ability to "gladden the heart" and bring courage to those who consume it. At The Seed Guy, we believe we aren't just selling seeds; we are planting a haven for the honeybees, the refreshing taste of a summer garden in every bite, and a connection to the herbal wisdom of the Middle Ages.

In the garden, Borage is a "Pollinator Superstar." This variety is the premier choice for anyone who wants to "get your calm on"—offering leaves and flowers that are world-class for their cooling properties and high Gamma-Linolenic Acid (GLA) content. Just visualize a glass of iced tea garnished with these vibrant blue flowers that taste exactly like fresh cucumber; that is the "Zing" of a summer afternoon. It is a fantastic medicinal herb for supporting healthy skin and a balanced nervous system. At The Seed Guy, our seeds are tested for elite germination, ensuring you get robust, fuzzy-leaved plants that deliver a "Healthy Vibe Favorite" to your kitchen and your medicine cabinet.

      Homestead Shield Icon

HEAVY-DUTY 4-MIL HOMESTEAD SHIELD! Ditch the flimsy, paper seed packets that rip open the second they get wet or slowly choke your seeds by letting ambient humidity seep inside! At The Seed Guy®, we believe every single premium individual packet deserves maximum security. That is why our individual varieties are hand-packed exclusively in ultra-rugged, Heavy-Duty 4-Mil Moisture-Barrier Ziplocks (never cheap 2-mil plastic or paper). This short-term field defense repels wet garden fingers, morning dew, and accidental spills right out in the dirt. Planning for the future? Because our 4-mil ziplocks lock out destructive oxygen and humidity fluctuations, these individual packets are perfectly engineered for long-term storage. Simply drop these heavy-duty packets inside a secondary dark Mylar container with an oxygen absorber, store them in a cool location, and you have a bulletproof, decades-ready survival seed bank! Echinacea Planting Instructions:

      1. When to Plant: Sow indoors 8-10 weeks before the last frost, or direct sow in early spring or late autumn. These seeds benefit from "cold stratification" (a winter chill).
      2. Preparation: Prefers full sun and well-drained soil. While they are tough, they do best in soil that doesn't stay waterlogged.
      3. Sowing: Plant seeds 1/8 inch deep. They need a little bit of light to help them wake up and grow.
      4. Care: Be patient! Echinacea often spends its first year building a strong root system and will explode with flowers in the second year. Deadhead spent blooms to encourage more flowering.
      5. Pests and Diseases: Very few pests bother Echinacea. In the fall, leave the dried seed heads standing—goldfinches love to eat the seeds during the winter!
